Use the pick option and make sure you check the lock option for the sketch lines.

Revit lt displays a pushpin control near the element to indicate that it is pinned in place. Does anyone know of a solution for this problem. Pick the underside of the roof and trim the sketch. Click modify tab modify panel pin select the elements to be pinned and then press enter.

After placing a wall you can override its initial top and base constraints by attaching its top or base to another element in the same vertical plane. By using the pick and lock approach if the slope of the roof changes revit will adjust the sketch automatically to keep it locked to the roof. When creating a wall a lock icon appears allowing you you lock the wall to another element eg.
