It must be completed at the very end of the shingle run to overlap the uppermost shingles and form a weatherproof seal.
Why do my settlers end up on the roof.
The reason being is the the higher long peak ridge vent end up drawing air through the lower smaller ridge vents on the peak.
And hes not the only one by a long chalk.
In fallout 4 my sanctuary hills settlement has suddenly started having this problem where some of my settlers and codsworth decide to throw a party on top of one of the abandoned buildings.
Theres a happy little crowd up there.
While i was browsing my shops in sanctuary i heard one of my settlers mention a bed problem when i asked my barman if there was any problem around the settlement he also talked about the bed problem and how it puts everyone on edge i have currently 12 settlers and 17 beds in sanctuary so it s not like they have to share a bed or something yet they still don t seem very happy with.
Is there any way to fix this.
They don t do anything but stand there.
Page 1 of 2 settler on the roof still not fixed obviously posted in fallout 4 discussion.
A lot of games seem to do this as it prevents them from spawning under the surface.
Capping a roof is the last thing done during a roofing project.
I am convinced that settlers well actually everything spawns a certain distance above ground and then drops to the surface.
Clearly it s a glitch.
So if they want to sleep and the bed is too close to another bed or a wall and they can t go up to it then they spawn on it.
So i was looking for drinking buddy at sanctuary and constantly missed his coordinates just to find out he was standing on the roof smack over the workshop.
Just so you know settlers can path to the strangest places if they get stuck somewhere.
This turn the lower ridge vents into intake vents instead of exhaust vents.
The reason settlers end up on roofs and stuck in walls and such is because of the game engine.
There s a timer running on them when it expires they ll teleport.
While you are away from your settlement the game tries to keep track of where the npcs should be just like npcs and such in diamond city for example.
Any bets on when this will be fixed in order to make settlers.
And it seems that somewhere is often the roof of a building or another impossible place.
