Why don t you just go into the attic and trace the pipe.
Why is there pvc pipe in my attic.

In my house attic i have several 4 inch white pvc vent stacks which are simply white pvc drain pipe extending from the wall headers through the attic and the roof.
I removed a portion of the drain that included the p trap to ensure i got a clear clean line and i added a piece that will allow me to pour bleach in the pipe annually to.
I have two pvc pipes that come out of my attic furnace unit.
2 if there s no cap.
As for hot cold distribution we normally see cpvc or copper in our neck of the woods.
I see pvc used for service entry all the time.
It leaves the unit and exits the house exterior wall low down on the ground.
Btw i m shocked that your air exchanger doesn t have a float valve emergency shutdown switch.
Today i replaced a portion of the condensate drain pipe on my ac in the attic.
It had been clogged and was dripping water into the overflow pan and needed to be unclogged.
Plastic pipe in the attic any guesses as to why there s plastic pvc in the attic.
If the output drain clogs the float switch triggers and kills power to the system.
Reason of the leaks.
One i m pretty sure is for condensation drainage for when running the air conditioning system.
It looks like the part that extends up on the left is over the master bedroom the horizontal potion passes over the bathroom and the right hand section that extends up is over the kitchen.
The second pvc pipe right next to the first leaves the unit and exits the house wall high up near the eave.
What i don t see is insulation on service or distribution lines on any kind of regular basis.
I always recommend to my clients to consider insulating these lines as an energy conserving addition to the system.
On the roof these are covered with lead flashing to prevent water from getting inside the house.
